Social Security and Medicare are now underfunded by $175 trillion

Editor's Note: All they have to do is raise the contribution and benefit base! It's not complicated and most people would not see an increase in their taxes. The 2024 contribution and benefit base is $168,600. Most people would not be affected by the increase because most people make less than $168,600. It's always the super wealthy that want to increase the full retirement age(FRA). Maybe, it's because they don't want to pay higher FICA taxes. Ben Shapiro and Larry Fink recently gave their ridiculous opinions about raising the FRA!! They must think Americans are imbeciles. While Belgium, France, Sweden, Norway and other 1st world countries can retire between 61 and 67. Mr. Fink and his ilk think Americans should work until they're 70/75/80 years old or die before collecting! We can not let these blood suckers raise the full retirement age!! It was already raised to 67 years of age for people born in 1960 or later!! Plus, when they raised the retirement age to 67... they reduced the amount of the benefit for each age below 67. For example, the percentage that someone receives at 62 used to be 80%! Now, if you were born in 1960 or later ... the percentage is 70%! They never tell you that when they raise the FRA, they also lower the benefit amount for each year prior to your FRA. This must be a red line! Remember, the life expectancy is falling in the USA but some politicians will tell you it's rising and that's the reason for raising the FRA! Don't let them enslave you or your progeny!!! Millions of people will have to descend on Washington if they try to raise the FRA or cut the benefits more than they have already!

NORWAY - RETIREMENT AGE 62-67

BELGIUM - RETIREMENT AGE 60-67

SWEDEN - RETIREMENT AGE 61-67

GERMANY - Currently, the official pension age for women and men in Germany is 65 years. This will gradually increase to 67 years over a transition period from 2012 to 2029.
